12月30日，一场备受瞩目的新华区中小学科学盛宴拉开帷幕。我国航天科普专家、原中国航天科技国际交流中心研究员周武教授，受邀为全区中小学师生代表带来了一场精彩绝伦的科普讲座，同时，新华区首届“星云杯”中小学生征文活动也同步启动，科学精神与人文情怀在此交相辉映。

岁末冬深，暖阳和煦。为深入贯彻落实国家关于提升青少年科学素养的指示精神，深化全国中小学科学教育实验区建设，营造热爱科学、崇尚创新的区域教育氛围，由新华区委宣传部、新华区教体局精心组织的新华区首届“星云杯”科幻征文启动仪式暨著名科普专家周武教授专题讲座在体育路小学报告厅举行。
活动现场，气氛热烈而庄重。中国航天科技国际交流中心研究员周武教授，摆渡船阅读推广服务中心华中区负责人吕丹，新华区委宣传部副部长张红杨，区教体局八级职员张大勇，区教研室主任王继业，体育路小学党支部书记、校长蒋晓民，教体局电教办负责人王伟等出席活动现场。
随着热情洋溢的活动致辞，周武教授和与会领导一同上台，共同启动了“星云杯”征文活动。本次征文活动以“心怀日月星辰，笔纳宇宙万象”为主题，期待同学们用文字记录时代脉动，书写少年科幻画卷。
周武教授的科普讲座“太空旅游，从幻想到现实”，无疑成为了全场瞩目的焦点。周武教授身份非凡，她是中国航天科技国际交流中心研究员，还曾历任中国航天科技国际交流中心经营发展部二级专务、中国宇航学会《太空探索》杂志主编等。同时，她也是中国科普作家协会第六届理事会常务理事，亲历了中国载人航天工程从立项、实施到载人圆满成功的全过程，参与了神舟四～七号以及嫦娥一号发射采访报道，发表了几百万字的科普和新闻作品，出版了十几本科普著作，发起了众多有影响力的航天科普活动。
