1月23日益群社工在良庆区巡查，在巡查到那洪大桥桥底下发现一位年轻男子，社工上前询问，在聊天的过程中了解到：韦某某，马山都安人，其自述因身份证丢失，没有办法找工作，目前没有地方住只能来到桥底，社工在了解到该情况后表示：目前天色见晚，身份证事宜明日社工前来协助办理。
1月24日上午九时，社工按时来到那洪桥底，社工来到时韦某还未起床，社工只能进行叫醒，韦某在见到社工表示那么早，需要等一会收拾下，在早上十点半左右社工带领韦某前往大沙田前进派出所办理身份证，在办理过程中社工与民警了解到韦某，男、未婚、目前父母均在老家务农为生。
在协助办理好身份证后，在社工的努力下联系到当地村委获取家属电话，在通过电话联系到家属，家属表示已经有十年没有接到男子的消息了，非常感谢国家和政府的帮助，如果没有政府对这类人员的救助，我们也没有办法找到自己的亲人。在社工的安抚下家属情绪逐渐冷静，家属表示马上出发南宁接回。
1月24日晚上九点半，社工接到家属电话，家属表示已到南宁那洪桥上，社工接到信息后表示马上到，需家属稍等一下。
于晚上九点四十分，社工到达那洪桥底，与家属汇合后带领前往桥底接韦某回家，刚见面时，韦某表示“不认识这几个人，他堂弟不是长这样的”家属表示“你看我身份证是不是你堂弟”在经过半小时的拉扯，韦某愿意跟家属回家。
下一步，益群社工将持续强化流浪乞讨人员救助工作，本着“应救尽救，应助尽助”的原则，努力保障流浪乞讨人员的合法权益和人身安全，并用尊重、关爱和耐心为他们照亮返乡之路。
