项目是办会基础，也是华创会招才引智、招商引资的关键所在。
华创会走过20年，一批批海外高精尖人才，一个个重大项目，在湖北落地，成为推动湖北高质量发展的新引擎。
据统计，历届华创会共邀请来自100个国家和地区的海外华侨华人专业人士、侨商等代表2万余人次参会，主会场签约引进项目2500多个，已经成为全国侨务系统引智引资的知名品牌和服务广大华侨华人创新创业的重要平台。
可以说，有海水的地方就有华人，有华人的地方就有华创会的影响。
以“点”带“面”，推动更广泛合作
2019华创会重点项目签约仪式上，黄石经济技术开发区管委会·铁山区人民政府与武汉芯动科技有限公司签约，双方在高端芯片终端产品研发制造及高端设计封测项目上展开合作，合作金额达5.5亿元。
据悉，引入芯动科技公司有助于将黄石由“制造”向“智造”推进。借助“华创会”平台，把归国华人华侨、侨智侨资吸引到黄石，有助于黄石抢抓5G风口，进行产业升级。
2020年华创会重点项目签约仪式上，澳洲杰出华商协会会长、湖北省华创会侨商服务中心副理事长、华人集团董事局主席邝远平与汉川市政府现场签约。马口先进制造产业基地项目占地约2000亩，总投资30亿元，投产后预计年产值100亿元以上。
“搭建技术研发、成果转化、市场推广、金融配套服务支持等产业创新创业服务平台。”邝远平介绍，该项目重点引进海内外光电显示、半导体照明、激光设备、智能制造等产业，积极布局光电元器件、平板显示、光存储、光通讯等应用系统类项目。
邝远平说，项目合作是“点”，将来一定能形成“面”，最终建成完整产业链。未来，还将充分发挥他所在平台组织的海内外资源优势，为汉川发展引入更多有实力的企业和项目，推动双方更广泛合作。
助力疫后重振，筑科技创新“新高地”
为助力疫后重振，助推湖北科技强省建设，华创会着力抓好科技创新人才项目的引进，以及科技成果转化落地见效。
2020年征集995个海内外项目，主会场签约80个项目，投资过亿元项目59个（含投资过十亿元项目18个），总签约金额506.7亿元，涵盖生物医药、现代制造、IT光电子等领域，已有76%在湖北落户。
2020年第七届“华创杯”创业大赛共征集23个国家140个项目，重点聚焦“光芯屏端网”等高新技术领域，其中“无屏触控”智能机器人技术在阅读和教育领域的应用等一批获奖项目的落户，对湖北高质量发展作出了贡献。
本届华创会，围绕长江经济带、中部地区崛起等国家战略和我省“51020”现代产业体系、光芯屏端网等产业布局。
目前，征集项目1646个，其中海外项目111个、国内项目1535个，签约项目77个，签约总金额500多亿元，主要集中在节能环保、生物医药、新能源、先进制造等领域。
