当记者好奇地问他，商业事务如此繁忙，怎么还能抽出大量的时间、精力做这样的事儿，张宗真脱口而出“责任使然”。
“我曾与许多台湾的朋友聊起当地抵抗日本侵略军的历史，很多重要事件、重要人物他们都不了解！特别是年轻人，对两岸先辈们浴血奋战抵御日寇的历史不了解，对侵略者残忍屠杀我台湾军民、犯下的滔天罪行知之甚少！”谈起这些亲历，张宗真连连感慨，反复地表示“非常震惊”。“这是不可以的！”
